Product Description
A Grooved Y Strainer is a device designed to remove solid debris from flowing liquids, functionally identical to a flanged Y strainer. The key difference is its connection method: it features grooved ends that accept mechanical couplings instead of traditional bolted flanges.
It uses "Grooved Coupling" for connection, which is a fast mechanical connection method that does not require welding or thread processing. When installing, use rubber sealing rings and clamps to tightly lock the two pipe ends with grooves together. This connection method is easy to install, shock-resistant, and allows for a certain degree of pipe end deflection. It is very suitable for fire protection, water supply and drainage systems, etc.
Its shell is in a slanted "Y" shape. This design can provide the maximum filtration area in a limited space, and the resistance when the fluid passes through is small, resulting in low pressure loss.
